Christian values sure have changed since I went to Catholic School

Holier-than-thou televangelist Pat Robertson is at it again. He thinks we ought to just assassinate anybody we don't agree with -- starting with Venezuelan President Chavez.

A Reuters piece on the same topic reminds us that Robertson also said that feminism "encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

Those of us who watch The Daily Show have seen the clips of Robertson praying for vacancies on the Supreme Court (which usually only occur when a Justice dies or is close to death). And while we're on the topic, wasn't Pat Robertson the one who blamed 9/11 on homosexuality -- or am I getting my televangelists mixed up?

I'm sure there are people who believe it's good to have someone like Pat Robertson around to remind Americans how to be truly holy and godfearing Christians. My only question is: if we were blindfolded, would we be able to distinguish his preachings from those of jihad-touting Muslim mullahs?
